My mother in law bought me a $50 Carson’s gift certificate. When I found out they were going out of business I tried to use it and they said they could no longer accept gift cards! I don’t understand that because the gift certificate was already paid for! Scam! And I am pissed!

I'm very upset with this purchase. I asked for duty manager in the store and still no one want to help with my situation. I'm paid for expensive ring and have it resize to 1 size up. Which I NEVER did in my life. NO ONE ever told me that I can't return or exchange it if I do so. I felt rip off while I could buy the same ring for way less. The ring is new. Just didn't have tag cause I never have it. Now I can't even exchange for another items which I'm willing to pay much more. I'm elite customers and had been buying so many jewelry with Carsons. I shouldn't be treat this way. I need someone contact me asap

I emailed their corporate office about the problem and I received an email and phoned them. I received my discount and free shipping so I am happy that they honored their website offer. Very nice company and located in US dor I could actually understand them!

I went onto Carsons.com on Saturday morning as they had an after Thanksgiving sale and I have been wanting to order the Crosley CD Turntable. The website had the price of the item and stated that it was eligible for the after Thanksgiving coupon only. When I attempted to place my order, it said it was not coupon eligible. WHY???? I even checked the fine print and did not see it listed as ineligible. The website clearly states that it is eligible, right next to the item number!! I attempted to call customer service and was told that I would have to pay full price and they would request the difference (which is $50) from corporate, but could not guarantee that it would be approved. THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING!!! Someone is in charge of their website and making sure that the ads are correct as stated. Someone dropped the ball!! I want the item for the price that they promised!!!

but a things that was in the coupns it was a two days community carson in matteson il could not provided i thinks that was a shame you paid for that book and could get what u want i would like to be rewarded for the vacuum cleaner 39.99 the knife for 9.97 the skillets for 9.97 if u want peoples to shop at carsons the company must provided i know the peoples who sales those books are very disappointed please try to have more items aboard email me at albertahill773@***.com ps i hope things get better

Extremely poor Customer Service

My wife placed an order on carsons.com for Clinique cosmetics. Our local Carsons store was closed due to a fire, and she wanted to receive the "free" gift with a purchase of X dollars. Due to the great experience I've had shopping on other retailers sites - penneys.com, sears.com, overstock.com and kohls.com - I convinced her to order the cosmetics on carsons.com, which is bonton.com. That's where the fun begins. After placing the order, she received an email confirmation of Order #70603**** on 11/17 @ 5:39 PM CST. Items ordered: lipstick, nail polish and free gift set. Seconds later, she received another email at 5:39 PM CST showing that the Clinique 7 pc. Gift with purchase was canceled. She called bonton.com to tell them to cancel the order, since the only reason she placed it was so she could receive the free gift. We were told that the order couldn’t be canceled because 90 minutes had passed since the order was placed. She then received a third email at 10:36 AM on 11/18 showing that the nail polish was canceled! Now, the only thing left on the order was lipstick. Again, she called to cancel the order, and was told that the order was already shipped. She received a fourth email at 4:36 PM on 11/19 confirming shipment of the lipstick. Based upon this experience, I can only conclude that their internet site must be something out of the prehistoric age run by the Three Stooges. The only good thing to come from this, is that I've been able to convince her that the "free" gift is possible due to the fact that she's paying for overpriced cosmetics, and that in the future, she should purchase her cosmetics from Ulta, CVS or Walgreens. If you're going to run an internet site, you better have a "real time" inventory that your sales agents can see, so that they can tell customers when products are out of stock, and when they're expected back in stock. You should also be able to cancel an order two days before it's shipped. And, if you can't supply the "free" gift with purchase, stop deceiving customers. I called one of Bon Ton's C.S. supervisors to vent yesterday (11/25), but she seemed very non-plused, like this is S.O.P. Due to the treatment we've received, I doubt very much whether we'll doing any further business with Carsons. There are too many other good retailers who don't take customers for granted.

To: Anonymous Carson's Extremely Poor Customer Service Agreed with you. When i was shopping into one of the locations the employees were so mean and nasty.

While i walking into the store i was buy an few things here and there, clothes and wallet. Everything was fine. While i was walking too the register too the store. It was not fine.

The employee was checking out the other customers with their mirrors, making mean and nasty comments about what customers are looking like. Basically profiling people. This happened when i was coming inside of the store, and while i was getting ready too leave for store. So i went too an different register with an different person, i was not about too be profiled too.

i purchased my wallet and my cloths. While i was leaving, i saw the manager too the store going too departments. i was walking too where the manager was at. I talked too the manager.

"I'm sorry, i don't want too go shopping at an place where people are profiled by other people. It makes the customers feel sad and uncomfortable." The manager apologized. The manager knew the employee i was talking about. Guess they have had problems with the employee before.

I don't understand if an company is going too have an problem with an employee, why are they still there. Any employee that does this should be terminated.

Nobody should be profiled, customer or employee. Really Carson's?

Carsons used to be a favorite. You have cut back on help, after complaining 're rest rooms For the last 3 yrs they are still dirty. They still have broken equipment. Your coupons are a joke, most of the items won't take them. If you loose a receipt you cannot look it up as Kohls can on charge purchases. I am really fed up with your St. Charles store.

No Quality Check Before Sending Item

Ordered the Visco Fresh memory foam pillow in May. Order came June 6th. The pillow had slash marks on it and had pieces of foam missing. Was crumbling in front of me. Sent it back on June 9th. UPS shows it was delivered on June 13th. No communication from Carson's whatsoever. Have called three times. Still no pillow. All I wanted was an exchange for one that was not damaged. I'm still waiting. Now they tell me it should show up by the 27th of this month. Why on earth does it take a month to get one pillow. I could have bought it anywhere else and had it right away. I will never ever buy from them again on line or any one of their affiliates.

Carson Pirie Scott Coupons are Bogus

I think Carsons coupons are bogus. Its a trick to get you in the store hoping you will see something you like and buy it. They pretty much exclude everything. I went to purchase furniture with a coupon $500 off a $2000 purchase, sound too good to be true? Yes it was, coupon excludes yellow dot clearance, all clearance furniture, all furniture clearance center merchandise, incredible value merchandise, bonus buys, door busters, temper-pedic, regular priced merchandise, service departments, special orders and giftcards. So what can I use this coupon on? Everything in the store is a special order. I really wanted a sectional that cost $2600 & a chair, table and so on, but will have to settle for something else somewhere else. For being the only customer in the store the last few days, you'd think the sales manager would at least offer 10% off to keep the sale.
